Welcome to the upcoming session of Rowing P.E.I.’s Learn to Row (LTR).
We have two LTR sessions coming up:
Saturday May 30th 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Tuesday June 2nd 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Both sessions will be held in the Grand Hall and on the docks at the Charlottetown Yacht Club at the bottom of Pownal Street. Parking at the club is limited so you may need to park on Pownal Street or Water.

You only need to attend one session.
Many of you have indicated which session you will be attending however I would like to have each person CONFIRM BY RETURN EMAIL THE DATE OF THE SESSION YOU WILL BE ATTENDING.
At the session we will provide an overview of the club and upcoming activities; an introduction to rowing techniques, parts of the boat, rowing commands and vocabulary; information on the harbour and our rowing circuits; and a presentation on safe rowing. Following the class portion of the course, each person will take part in a short tethered row beside the dock which will give you an opportunity to try out what was covered in the course.
In the weeks following the course, you will have TWO open water practice rows with a coach.  After that, you are certified as an LTR rower and can sign up to become a member for the summer.   We will explain the details as part of the sessions.
Learn to Row is a fun experience and we will have lots of coaches on hand to help you. In regards to clothing, wear layers of comfortable clothing and sneakers.
We look forward to seeing you at Learn to Row, if you have any questions please send me an email at rowingpei@gmail.com or give me a call at (902) 394-3297.
Thanks Nancy – Rowing P.E.I. LTR Coordinator
