Lobster Cup Row-deo Makes P.E.I. History

The first ever Lobster Cup Row-deo is in the history books!  Thanks to everyone who made it possible…from the Organizing Committee, to the volunteers, to the competitors.  The times on the course were incredibly close!  Everyone really rowed hard.  And, we hope, had a good time.

A special thanks to Will Bryden and Emily Cameron for coming out to join us.  Will is a new P.E.I. resident, who will be representing us at the National Rowing Championships this fall.  Emily grew up in Summerside and has been on the Canadian team since 2010.  She has competed at the World Championships, winning a silver medal in 2013 and a 6th place finish in 2014.  It was a thrill to see them racing for the first time in a coastal boat!

There will be a lot more great photos.  But here are a few highlights from the day.  Siterow lobster 4row lobster 5row lobster 2row lobster 1row lobster 8startrow lobster 11row lobster 10row lobster 7kaleigh runsgreg runs 2coloursgreen team in waterexh 4 emily powerexh mike and nathanexh 3 will checksexh 2 emily checksexh emily climbs inexh emily and willexh both teamsemily and willmath teameugenie winskaleigh and eugenienick wins 2nathan and mikeBrayln and Doug - mixed doublesteam greenblue team trophy
