All members are invited to take part in our first annual Lobster Cup Rowdeo.

Our Race Committee will divide the participants into two teams. The captains of the teams will get in touch with you to find out what races you would like to do. Watch for an email and please respond promptly,   Everyone will get to do two races.   Your captain will also tell you your team colours!

The events will be : Male Single

Female Single

Male Double

Female Double

Mixed Double

Quad *time trial


There will be points awarded for finishing first, second or third in each event. The team with the most points wins the Lobster Cup – and bragging rights for 2015!

We will also be giving out individual awards to Fastest Male, Fastest Female and Fastest Double.

We will post a race schedule and list of competitors after the Race Committee meets on Monday August 17th.

***The DEADLINE to register is Sunday August 16th at MIDNIGHT.

There is a MANDATORY competitor’s meeting at 8 :30 a.m. at Queen Elizabeth Park. There is lots of parking there as well as washrooms.

We will need 13 people to row the boats over to the park, leaving the Yacht Club at 7 :30 a.m.   We will also need 13 people to row them back! We will post a Sign Up for volunteers.

After the competition, we will have lunch at Queen Elizabeth Park.

*Please bring water, sunscreen, a hat, a chair and a SHADE SHELTER if you have one. (We’re hoping for a sunny day.)

*if there is thunder/lightning we will re-schedule for the same time Sunday – if it’s just rain, we are still a go!
