How to register online – Rowing PEI – 2025

*If you are a NEW JUNIOR ROWER, please register in the Junior category and not Intro to Rowing!!

You can pay by eTransfer to rowingpei@gmail.com.  *The payment will be accepted automatically.  You do NOT need a security question.
PLEASE NOTE: you can NOT pay online with a credit card on the RCA website even though it may look as if that is an option.

Here are the 2025 membership categories:

2025 ADULT INTRO TO ROWING – Part One   *ages 18 and over
$160.00
The Intro to Rowing program is mandatory for anyone new to the sport.
The Intro program will start in May 2025. More sessions may be offered throughout the summer as coaching capacity commits.
Intro to Rowing – Part One  includes:

Lesson #1 and 2 –  Indoor Training – On the indoor rowing machine in May at Kinetic Fitness, 70 Nicholas Lane, Charlottetown

Lesson #3 –  Rowing Vocabulary and Safety – Classroom Session
You will learn technique and vocabulary as well as important safety training at the House of Sport, 40 Enman Crescent. (2 hours) *next to Charlottetown Rural*
Lesson #4 – Tour and Intro at Charlottetown Yacht Club  – 1 Pownal Street 
Check out our home base at the Charlottetown Yacht Club and take your first strokes at the dock, under the supervision of our trained coaches. (1.5 hours)
Lessons #5 and #6   – On water lessons
You will have two private, one-on-one lessons with a coach. (2 x 1 hours = 2 hours)
At the end of your two on-the-water sessions, you are officially a Novice Rower and can move on to Intro to Rowing –  Part Two.
There is a Rowing Skills Checklist that your coach will review with you.
2025 Adult Intro to Rowing – Part Two 
$275.00
Intro to Rowing Part Two starts with up to four sessions in a double with a mentor, who is a coach or an experienced rower. They will take you through a checklist of skills to help you become an L2 (Level 2).
Once you are an L2, you will be able to navigate a boat on your own. You can then move to a coastal single, or continue in a double or quad as part of the club or coached rows. If you need more than 4 rows, you can continue in the L2 training as needed.
The $275 fee covers the cost of rowing for the rest of the season. 
As a novice rower, you have the opportunity to:
-sign up for morning or evening rows on the Charlottetown Harbour – we will match you up with someone who is looking for the same kind of rowing experience
-learn how to beach launch on our beach sprints course in Charlottetown
-row in a quad with a coxswain to experience a different rowing experience 
-compete at the Red Island Regatta on August 23rd and 24th at Brudenell *registration fees extra

 

ADULT Individual Membership 2025
$435.00 *spring training sessions at Kinetic are included but you must register and pay to participate
This is an individual membership (1 person only) of any age for the full season, rowing in Charlottetown or Brackley. 
*****Members must have already completed Intro to Rowing in a previous season.
If you are new to the sport, you must register for Into to Rowing 2024.
Crew 25 – New Junior Membership 2025
$260.00
Crew 25 is  for new junior rowers only, between the ages of 13 and 20. 
The program will start with a weekened camp on Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22, 2025 at the Charlottetown Yacht Club.
There will be two sessions a week, two hours per session.
There will be additional costs for training camps and for participating in the Red Island Regatta on Saturday August 23 and 24, 2025 at Brudenell Provincial Park. 
Junior Competitive Membership 2025
$435
This is for returning junior rowers, between the ages of 13 and 20, who were previously part of the Junior Program.  Members of this program will be training at Brackley with the goal of competing at multiple regattas in the 2025 summer season. They can also row in Charlottetown and compete in coastal boats at the Red Island Regatta 2025. 
There will be additional costs for training camps and regattas.

 

Junior Coastal Membership 2025
$260
This is for returning junior rowers, between the ages of 13 and 20, who were previously part of the Junior Program.  
Members of this program will row in Charlottetown. They can row for fitness, or have the option to train to compete in coastal boats at the Red Island Regatta 2025. 
There will be additional costs for training camps and regattas.
Visiting Rower 2025
$50.00/$75.00
We welcome visitors!  We charge $50 per row for RCA members but if you are staying on P.E.I. for a longer period of time, we will try to accommodate you for more than one row at a reasonable price!!
If you are not a member of Rowing Canada, the cost is $75 as we will be charged $29.40 to cover your insurance costs. *we have to cover the RCA fee for anyone from outside of Canada
